I’m Matt form Chaparral Motorsports here the Sidi Traffic Rain boots. This is a very simple, classic motorcycle specific riding boot that is perfect for everyone from cruiser and v-twin enthusiasts, to guys commuting on a GS 1200 and everything in between. These are reinforced in all of the right spots. Here on the toe box, the heel cup and the sole. And you have sewn in ankle protection on both sides.  All of that combined will add the right amount of strength and rigidity without compromising its flexibility. The soles have rugged lug pattern, almost like a work boot design.  It’s also non slip which is great for coming up to stops if the surface is a little slippery. Especially if you’re on some of the bigger, heavier adventure bikes. You’ll be planted for sure. Now were going to get a little technical because it’s a huge benefit to you. The main construction of this boot is made from technomicro. This is exclusive to Sidi, so nobody else has it. What it is is a composite microfiber that has the appearance of leather and acts like it, but it doesn’t require the maintenance of leather. It’s actually lighter, stronger, more abrasion resistant, very breathable and water resistant.

Now the technomicro does a good job at repelling water but it also has a membrane that seals the water out entirely, but still allows breathability within the boot. The zipper is always the most vulnerable spot on anything so you have a full length gaiter to keep you covered and you’ve also got a breathable wicking internal liner. These guys do really good job at paying attention to detail, so you’ll see things like this notched area for the zipper. So when you close up the Velcro it’ll sit nice and flush in there. And of course other things like the double stitched high stress areas, the reinforced patches of technomicro on both toe boxes and the padded shin plate for extra rider comfort. Match these up with a nice pair of all-weather riding pants and you’ll be in good shape.

If you absolutely loved the way these boots fit and feel and want a hot weather riding version, they make that the Traffic Air vented. It’s all the same but of course some tweaks to cater to a different riding style. It’s perforated, it has the cambrelle liner with larger mesh holes for great air flow and it doesn’t have the gaiter.
