Review the features of the GBC Kanati Mongrel ATV/UTV Tires
I’m Matt from Chaparral Motorsports here with GBC Kanati Mongrels.
GBC really shook things up in the side by side industry when they released the Mongrels in late 2013 at the Sand Sport show here in sunny so cal. They brought an all-terrain tire to the market that has been a huge hit for us at chap. These work great especially down here because, our terrains are so diverse and they’re all within reasonable proximity. So one weekend we could go to the mountains and the next hit the open desert. The main point I’m trying to make is that these can be applied to many different surfaces. Some of you may notice this diamond tread pattern from somewhere. Well it’s the same tread design as their light truck tire the Mud hogs. It’s a super aggressive design that’s proven to work. These of course are just specially designed for side by sides.
Alright, this a radial, DOT approved tire. So you’ll get a smooth ride and great handling on hard packed surfaces and that includes the streets, where it’s legal of course. These are very durable, this is an 8 ply tire and you have the perfect blend between polyester/nylon belts and a special tread compound to give the tire extra puncture resistance. They even have a rim guard to protect against scrapes and scuffs. The Mongrels comes a variety of sizes so if you’ve got a RZR 800 there’s a 26x10x12 and a 28x10 available in a 14 and 15 inch rim. And or course for the bigger 1000 cc cars like a RZR or a Maverick you have the 30x10 in a 14 and 15 inch rim.
